Halloween at Conservation Garden Park
Celebrate Halloween with us at Conservation Garden Park for a family-friendly fun and spooky good time! Stroll through the garden and discover our mischievous gardening skeletons hard at work, or join in the excitement with our self-guided Halloween Bingo and Scavenger Hunt. Get creative for the pumpkin decorating contest and admire the festive creations on display. Kids will love our Halloween Story Time, and don’t forget to dress up your furry friends for the Dog Costume Stroll! It’s a time full of autumn activities, festive fun, and garden magic for the whole community.
Halloween at the Garden: Oct 18-30th (Closed Sundays)
All activities are free! Registration is not required, except for Story Time.
Garden Hours:
Oct 18-26: 8am-6:30pm
Oct 28-30: 8am-8pm (Garden Open Late!) (Arrive dressed in your Halloween best!)
Oct 31st: 8am-5pm

Work & Learn: Bulb Planting

Come get dirt on your hands and a smile on your face as you work alongside our gardeners! You’ll receive expert instruction in best yard care practices you can use in your own yard. Bring gloves and dress for the great outdoors (we provide the tools). Group size is limited, so register early.
Learn how to add spring color to your landscape while helping our staff as we install new bulbs at the garden.
This class will meet in the Education Center at Conservation Garden Park.

Halloween Story Time

Join us at Conservation Garden Park for a magical Halloween Story Time, perfect for kids and families!
Gather around as we dive into fun and not-too-spooky tales that celebrate the spirit of the season. Come dressed in your favorite costume and enjoy a festive time filled with imagination and seasonal fun!
After Story Time, families are welcome to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a picnic in the beautiful surroundings of Conservation Garden Park. Following lunch, you can participate in a self-guided Halloween Bingo Scavenger Hunt! Explore the garden as you search for hidden Halloween-themed items, mark them off your bingo card, and enjoy the fun of discovery. It's the perfect way to spend a festive day outdoors, full of adventure and seasonal surprises!
Fall Garden Walk

Ever wondered how to make your landscape look great year round? Come join us for a beautiful autumn walk in the Garden.
Conservation Garden Park offers many interesting plants and landscapes to see year round. During this tour we will focus on the trees, shrubs, and grasses that look great in the fall that you can add to your own landscape.
Please come prepared to walk outside in the garden.
Taught by Conservation Garden Park staff.
This tour will meet in the Education Center at Conservation Garden Park.

Ready to apply the design framework you learned in Introduction to Localscapes? View an online version of Localscapes University and watch at your convenience. This class will include training in design, irrigation, planting, and maintenance.
If you are unfamiliar with Localscapes, we recommend taking Introduction to Localscapes online first, which will help you determine if Localscaping is right for you.
Flip Your Strip

This on-demand class covers the best techniques to add curb appeal and save water by removing non-functional grass from your landscape.
Join Madeline as she teaches how to flip your park strip by removing the lawn and replacing it with waterwise plants, irrigation, and mulch.
If you plan to undertake a larger landscape project like a full yard or front/backyard project Localscapes University is recommended.
